Tapping Journal Michigan Maple Syrup Association

Current Michigan Tapping Reports

Tapping season is a very busy time for maple producers, because the entire year's supply of sap normally must be harvested in only one to three weeks. We have picked volunteers from around the state to share their operations with you. Choose a location on the map for an inside look at maple production in Michigan.

On the following pages you will find detailed information on each of the producers and their daily journals. You will also find season summaries and current weather conditions for each location. In fact, if you would like to see weather information for your own location, follow the link at the bottom for a page of weather services you can choose from. If you are thinking of tapping your own trees, accurate weather forecasting is an absolute must!
