BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING
Saturday, January 18, 2003

The Board of Directors met at 4:25 PM at the Doherty Hotel in Clare. An election was conducted for president. Jean Maday was elected to that position. The additional officers elected to executive positions are as follows: Vice-President - Craig Arnold, Secretary - Tim Boonstra, Treasurer Steve Youdes.

NAMSC/IMSI Trip - Debbie Thomas

Discussion was led by Roger VandeBunte concerning our web site. The calendar is currently up to date. A push will be made in the Newsletter towards usage by our membership. Hot link fees must offset the cost of the site.

The treasurer’s position will be audited soon. The audit committee is made up of Joyce Ross, Debbie Thomas and Jean Maday.
Mary Douglass has volunteered to be our IMSI representative and Jean Maday will be our link with the NAMSC. A motion was made by Ron Thomas to raise the dollar amount given for travel expenses to the IMSI representative from $250 up to $350. Motion passed by voice vote.

Tom Cook will be writing a letter to be published in the Newsletter urging members to avail themselves of our MMSA table top display. This educational tool can be utilized for promotion of one’s maple business while at the same time getting the MMSA name in front of people.
