MMSA JANUARY MEETING

The January 17, 2004 general membership meeting is being held at the Doherty Hotel in Clare. The hotel has a block of rooms reserved. Rooms will be held until January 3, 2004 for our group.

Room rates for single or double occupancy are:

$52.00 in the main hotel
$72.00 in the newer sections (2 beds)
$77.00 in the newer sections (2 queen or 1 king)

GLENN GOODRICH will be our guest speaker at the winter meeting on January 17, 2004. Glenn is a noted expert on tubing installation. He has installed numerous tubing systems throughout New England, New York, Pennsylvania and Ontario. His family has been making syrup since 1840. In 1981 Glenn installed tubing. He has a 13,000 tap bush which he and his wife handled alone until two years ago. They boil on a 6 x 15 all flue evaporator. He is the inventor of the steam away. Glenn is currently the Chair of the Vermont Promotion Board and resides in Cabot, Vermont. Please mark your calendar to attend this meeting.
