The 2004 Michigan Maple Syrup Association Fall Tour is in the center of the state this year. Steve Henson, our tour host, has worked up a fine schedule of maple operations to tour. We will be touring 5 different operations with each operation giving us a unique look at making and marketing maple syrup. We have small, medium, and a large community sugar bush to take a look at. Our tour participants have worked long and hard, and have our appreciation for inviting us into their operations.

We invite all those who would like to enrich their knowledge in the art of making maple syrup and hopefully learn and take something back to improve their own operations.

FROM THE NORTH:

(MT. PLEASANT): Take 127 South to the first Mt. Pleasant Exit. Go West on Pickard Rd. seven miles. Go South on Winn Rd. 8 miles. (You will go through two stop lights/signs.) Go West on Fremont Rd. 2½ miles. Go South on Johnson Rd. ½ mile.

(SHEPHERD): Take 127 South to the Shepherd Exit Go West on Blanchard Rd. 11 ½ miles (You will go through the towns of Shepherd and Winn.) Go South on Winn Rd. 2 miles. Go West on Fremont Rd. 2½ miles. Go South on Johnson Rd. ½ mile.

FROM THE SOUTH:

(SHEPHERD): Take 127 North to the Shepherd Exit Go West on Blanchard Rd. 11 ½ miles (You will go through the towns of Shepherd and Winn.) Go South on Winn Rd. 2 miles. Go West on Fremont Rd. 2½ miles. Go South on Johnson Rd. ½ mile.

FROM THE EAST:
