The Sam Schmucker Farm

Situated in the midst of the Amish Community is the picturesque Maple Farm of Sam and Ada Schmucker. They began making syrup in 1980 shortly after moving to this locale. It’s a skill taught him by his parents as a youngster. Currently they boil on a 5’ x 16’ wood fired Leader Arch. Collecting their 1,300 buckets is done with horse and drag or wagon. Sam is also an active dairy farmer and markets most of his finished product from the farm.
